| In
1906, the 267-foot Suspension Footbridge, also known as
the Swinging Bridge, was built so that the local residents
could attend the Chautauqua tent revival meetings. It
is located at the west end of Clark Street in Charles
City, and stretches across the Cedar River. It is also
in the National Register of Historic Places. |
